Gough briefs Portsmouth on 'Root Bound'
Tanya Karen Gough, who lived most her childhood in Portsmouth, and returns regularly to "home base" to see family, just published "Root Bound." "Root Bound" is a young adult book and the first in the series "Emma & the Elementals." This is Gough's first published novel, though not her inaugural attempt at writing or publishing.
There are those black and white notebooks filled with childhood poetry back in Portsmouth, says Gough, now of Canada, and — a tad later — contributions to: Sourcebooks Shakespeare series; the first Juno Awards Web site (Canada's Grammys), the Internet Shakespeare Editions (at u.Victoria), and other Shakespeare publications and English-as-a-Second-Language textbooks.
